The petitioners namely Sivan and Perumal, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences under Sections 21(d), 21(h) of Tamil Nadu Forest Act, 1882, Sections 2(16)(a), 2(16)(b), 2(16)(c), 9, 39, 41, 50 and 51(1) of Wild Life Protection Act, 1972 in WLOR No.8 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that, petitioners are falsely implicated as accused in WLOR No.8 of 2023 for the offences under Sections 21(d), 21(h) of Tamil Nadu Forest Act, 1882, Sections 2(16)(a), 2(16)(b), 2(16)(c), 9, 39, 41, 50 and 51(1) of Wild Life Protection Act, 1972. Petitioners are innocents. Apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent, this petition is filed.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal side), opposes on the ground that, aforesaid case was registered for hunting deer and selling its meat. Petitioners are not shown as accused in this case, sofar. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

4. In the light of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) that, petitioners are not shown as accused in this case, this Court is of the view that, there is no need to pass further order in this petition.
