India praying for a writ of mandamus directing the respondent authorities to consider the petitioner's application dated 24.10.2013 seeking assignment of 2 cents of land each to the petitioners out of the land comprised in Survey No.157/1, Ambothi Village, Annur Taluk, Coimbatore District as per the recommendations made by the third respondent.

ORDER

Heard Mr.A.V.Raja, the learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr.S.Gunasekaran, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents and with the consent of either side, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage. 2.The petitioners, who are 16 in number, have filed this writ petition seeking upon a direction to the respondents to consider their representation dated 24.10.2013 seeking for assignment of two cents of land in the land comprised in S.No.157/1, Amboth Village, Annur Taluk, Coimbatore District.

3. It is seen that the fourth respondent Village Panchayat has recommended the petitioners' case for consideration of respondents 1 and 3 and a resolution has been passed by the Village Panchayat on 26.8.2013, followed by further recommendation, on 25.10.2013.

4.In the light of the above, without going into the merits of the petitioners' claim, there will be a direction to the third respondent to consider the petitioners' claim for grant of patta, based on the recommendations issued by the Panchayat and submit an appropriate report to the first respondent, to enable the first respondent to consider the claim, in accordance with law. The above direction shall be complied with within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
