The petitioner's son is undergoing incarceration for life and is presently confined in Palayamkottai Central Prison. The petitioner has given a representation dated 26.02.2025 seeking premature release. 3.

The first respondent / Home Secretary (Prison IV), Home Department, Secretariat, Fort St.George, Chennai - 600 009, is directed to dispose of representation dated 26.02.2025 in accordance with law within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not gone into the merits of the case. 4.

With the aforesaid direction and observation, writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
