ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner to set aside the order passed by the III Additional City Civil Court, Chennai in Crl.A.No.571/2024, dated 29/04/2025 and to enlarge the petitioner on bail pending disposal of the Criminal Appeal Crl.A.No.571/2024.
2. When the matter came up before this Court on 12.06.2025, considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in order to give an opportunity to the petitioner, this Court had directed the petitioner to deposit a demand draft for a sum of Rs.3 lakhs i.e. 20% of the total compensation amount to the credit of S.T.C. as directed by the first appellate Court.
3. Today (13.06.2025), when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the said condition has been complied with and he produced a copy of receipt of payment.
4. In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to file a fresh application before the Sessions Judge in Crl.A.No.571 of 2024, seeking bail and on receipt of such application, the learned Sessions Judge is directed to consider the same and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law. Further, the learned
Sessions Judge is directed to dispose of the appeal in Crl.A.No.571 of 2024 within a reasonable time.
5. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.
