Mr.K.Sathish Kumar, learned standing counsel takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks for a direction to the second respondent to refund the security deposit of Rs.2,26,000/- to the petitioner, based on his representation dated 19.04.2018. It is stated that the petitioner was issued with a license to run a Bar at TASMAC Shop No.379, located at 181, Strahans Road, Patallam, Chennai - 600 012. It is further stated that the license period was already over and the petitioner has also handed over the possession of the premises to the house owner on 28.02.2018 itself. Therefore, it is contended that the respondents are bound to return the security deposit already https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

collected from the petitioner.

This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, when the representation dated 19.04.2018 made by the petitioner seeking refund of the security deposit is admittedly pending before the second respondent. Therefore, this writ petition is disposed of, only by directing the second respondent to consider the said representation dated 19.04.2018 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
