Respondents --- PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the first and second respondents to take immediate action by opening the 156 construction work completed Amma Canteens in the Municipal Areas of Tamil Nadu based upon the representation made by the petitioner on 14.11.2014.

(Made by The Hon'ble The Chief Justice) The petitioner seeks to file the present public interest litigation on the premise that there is a policy of the Government to open Amma Canteens all over the State and while most of the Canteens are now ready to be opened, they are not so open. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. We put a query to the learned counsel for the petitioner as to under which statute or law, can you say, there is a violation. He concedes that it is a policy decision of the Government.

3. The aforesaid being the policy decision of the Government, at which place or when these canteens have to be opened, falls purely within the administrative domain. It is, thus, not possible to issue directions as sought for by the petitioner.
