O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to direct the 2nd respondent police not to harass the petitioners and their family members in view of the complaint received from one Mohandoss S/o. Janagan.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that the 2nd respondent has registered a case against one Ramamoorthy, who is relative of the petitioners. He further submitted that the 2nd respondent is frequently calling upon the petitioners and compelling them to disclose the whereabouts of the said Ramamoorthy. He further submitted that the petitioners are not aware of the whereabouts of the said Ramamoorthy and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

hence, the respondents may be directed not to harass the petitioners.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that only for the purpose of getting information with regard to the whereabouts of the said Ramamoorthy, the petitioners were called and they were not subjected to any harassment. She further submitted that the petitioners may co-operate with the 2nd respondent for securing the said Ramamoorthy.

4. It is always open to the 2nd respondent to issue summons to the petitioners, if necessary and conduct enquiry. Instead of doing so, the 2nd respondent should not harass the petitioners unnecessarily.

5. With the above observations, the criminal original petition is disposed of.
