Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents to dispose of the petitioner representation dated 20.11.2017 for the appointment to the post of Village Assistant in the available vacancy based on the petitioner Employment Exchange seniority.

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the Respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 20.11.2017 for the appointment to the post of Village Assistant in the available vacancy based on the petitioner Employment Exchange seniority.
2. Mr.G.B.Rajesh, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3.
3. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up and disposed of at the stage of admission itself.
4.It appears that the petitioner had applied for the post of Village Assistant to the first respondent on 17.05.2015. It is stated that though the petitioner was called for interview on 31.08.2017 and the petitioner also attended the interview of the said date, the respondents have not informed the position thereof to the petitioner. He made a representation to the Collector the first respondent on 21.11.2017. The first respondent by proceedings dated 27.11.2017 vide R.C.No.A5/22867/2017 has forwarded the same to the Tahsildhar, Gudiyattam to take suitable action and inform the details to the first respondent. It is the grievance of the petitioner that no action on the same has been taken till date. In such premises, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition seeking for the aforesaid relief.
5.Considering the limited scope of prayer sought for in this Writ Petition, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served in seeking counter affidavit from the respondents.
6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the submissions made, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the third respondent to act upon proceedings the first respondent dated 27.11.2017, in accordance with law and intimate the decision taken thereof to the first respondent in this regard as well as to the petitioner, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. However, it is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the representation as well the proceedings of the first respondent dated 20.11.2017. No costs.
