The prayer sought for in the Writ Petition is to direct the 1st respondent to cancel the appointment of the 2nd respondent and direct the respondent to select the petitioner as Assistant Professor (Medical Biochemistry).

2. Today when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the prayer sought for in the present writ petition has become infructuous and nothing survives for adjudication and he has also made an endorsement to that effect.
