ORDER

Mr.M.R.Gokul Krishnan, learned Additional Government Pleader, accepts notice for R4 and Ms.N.S.Tanvi, learned counsel, accepts notice for R2. No notice is issued to R1, R3 and R5 since their interests have been duly taken note of and protected by virtue of this order. 2.

The petitioner is the Cycling Association of Tamil Nadu. It claims to be a member of the Cycling Association of India and seeks a mandamus directing R1 and R2 to take appropriate action in regard to the petitioner's complaint dated 15.06.2024 as against R5. 3.

According to petitioner, R5 does not possess necessary affiliations and is engaged in various activities, which are contrary to the interests of the sport. He also alleges that the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu has sanctioned significant amounts to R5 association without verifying its credentials. He refers to order passed by this Court in W.P.No.20965 of 2021 dated 09.02.2024 and states that enquiry must be conducted prior to permitting R5 to conduct tournaments and engage in other related activities.

Mr.Gokul Krishnan, learned Additional Government Pleader, appears for the R4 / District Registrar Office, Chennai North, before whom 2/4

complaint is pending, would accede to the suggestion of the Court that the same must be disposed expeditiously.

Hence, let notice be issued by R4 to petitioner, R1, R2, R3 and R5 and orders passed on the petitioner's complaint dated 15.06.2024, in accordance with law and all applicable rules and regulations, within a period of eight weeks from date of receipt of a copy of this order. Writ petition stands disposed in terms of this order. No costs. Connected miscellaneous is closed.
