Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents No.1 to 6 to provide appropriate police protection to the petitioner and his family members and
consequently direct the respondents No.1 to 6 to initiate necessary action against the 7th respondent within a stipulated time by this Court.

ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondent police to initiate action against the 7th respondent and to grant police protection to the petitioner and his family members.
2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submitted that FIR has already been registered against the 7th respondent in Crime No.114 of 2019, based on the complaint given by the petitioner. He further submitted that presently, the 7th respondent is confined at Central Prison, Salem, in another case and therefore, the apprehension of the petitioner regarding his safety and the safety of the family members is sufficiently taken care. He submitted that as and when there is any potential threat to the life of the petitioner and his family members, the respondent police will provide sufficient police protection.
3. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Writ petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
