ORDER
[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] Seeking a direction to the second respondent to produce the body of the petitioner's younger daughter name Suthinila, aged about 23 years before this Court and set her at liberty, the present habeas corpus petition has been filed. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
2.It is the case of the petitioner that her daughter Suthinila, aged about 23 years had gone missing and that the police had not taken effective steps to secure her despite the complaint in CSR No.595 of 2020.
3.On instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the complaint given by the petitioner, a regular case in Crime No.1481 of 2020 has been registered by the second respondent police for woman missing and the investigation is in progress. He further submitted that the alleged detenue had eloped with the third respondent knowing full well that he is a married man.
4.In such view of the matter, this habeas corpus petition stands closed with a direction to the police to proceed with the investigation in Crime No.1481 of 2020 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments and as and when the detenue is secured, she may be produced before the jurisdictional Magistrate under intimation to the petitioner.
