ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a mandamus, directing the 3rd respondent to conduct an assessment of the value of the land in respect of the well having pump set and electricity connection with regard to Survey No.67/1, Vayalanallur Village and calculate the compensation due to the petitioners for having acquired their land for the outer ring road project and covered by Award No.1/2003 dt.29.08.2003 and to pay the compensation to the petitioners who were the owners of the land.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that though the petitioner made a representation 19.06.2014 to refer the matter for enhancement of compensation for the appropriate Court to the Collector. Thereafter, the Collector referred the matter to the Special Tahsildar (Land Acquisition) to determine the compensation. Till date, no order has been passed. Hence the present writ petition is filed.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the official respondents would submit that the respondent will refer the petitioner's matter to the civil Court for enhancement of compensation.

4. In such view of the matter, the 2nd respondent is directed to refer the matter to the Civil Court for enhancement of compensation within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
