This petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking to punish the respondents herein for willful disobedience of the order passed in W.P.No.2018 of 2012 dated 18.01.2018.

Heard both sides. Perused the records.

The learned Government Advocate submitted that the order in W.P.No.2018 of 2012 dated 18.01.2018 was stayed by Division Bench in W.A.No.3125 of 2019 dated 27.09.2019 and after considering the pendency of the writ appeal, the petitioner submitted a voluntary retirement and the same was considered by the authority concerned and the petitioner got retired. 2/4

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner suffered from chronic illness namely cancer and thereby not interested to proceed with the contempt petition.

Considering the fact that the Division Bench by its order in W.A.No.3125 of 2019 dated 27.09.2019 has stayed the order of learned single Judge dated 18.01.2018 and also the petitioner got retired voluntarily, this contempt petition is closed. No costs.
