This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondent herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.11.2017 and give family pension to the petitioner.
2. Mr.Bala Ramesh learned counsel accepts notice for the respondent.
3. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for hearing and disposed of at the stage of admission itself.
4. The grievance of the petitioner is that the husband of the petitioner who was the regular employee of the respondent died while in service and though his services already been regularised in pursuant to the directions of this Court and thereafter compassionate appointment has been given in favour of the petitioner but no family pension has been paid to her. Hence, the petitioner has submitted a representation to the respondent on 23.11.2017 followed by another representation dated 05.01.2018 seeking family pension. been passed till date, the petitioner has come up with this writ petition seeking for the aforesaid relief. 5.Considering the limited scope of prayer now sought for by the petitioner, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served in seeking counter affidavit from the respondent.
6. Heard the counsel for the parties.
7. Regard being had to the facts and also the submissions made, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to take a informed and considered decision on the representation of the petitioner dated 23.11.2018 and the subsequent representation dated 05.01.2018, if the same are pending, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order,, if there is no other legal impediment, by a speaking order and intimate the same to the petitioner. However, it is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the representation. No costs.
