This writ petition has been filed for direction directing the respondents to promote and appoint the petitioner as Superintendent on par with similarly placed persons by considering the petitioner's representation dated 22.04.2024.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the writ petition, the respondents are directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 22.04.2024 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
