PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1 to 3 respondents herein to direct the Inspector of Police(Crime) H-8 Police Station, Thiruvotriyur, Chennai - 600 019, the 4th respondent herein to registered the petitioner's on line complaint dated 25.05.2023 at 12.27 p.m. vide the petitioner's on line complaint reference No. CE G2 3094180 through the Deputy Commissioner of Police Washermenpet Police Range, Old Washermenpet, Chennai - 600 021 on the basis of the petitioner's representation through by the registered post, with acknowledgment dues dated 08.06.2023. O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent police to register the petitioner's on-line complaint. 2.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that notice was issued to the petitioner by the 4th respondent to attend an enquiry and that the petitioner did not for 2/5

an enquiry.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had to go to USA to take care of her daughter and hence, the petitioner has already given a power of attorney in favour of Mr.V.S.Maniarasu Sekar. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the power of attorney agent is aware of the entire facts and that he will attend the enquiry before the 4th respondent.

In the light of the above submissions, there shall be a direction to the power of attorney agent of the petitioner to attend for the enquiry before the 4th respondent. The 4th respondent after conducting the enquiry, shall proceed further in accordance with law.

This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of in the 3/5

above terms.
