Prayer :- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 1 & 2 to issue patta based upon the petitioner document for an extent of 9152 sq.ft., of land comprised in survey No.291/3 part survey Nos.291/30, 31 and 32 situated at Kodungaiyur Village formerly at Fort Tondiarpet Taluk, now at Perambur Taluk, within a time frame as this Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstance of the case. ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 & 2 to issue patta based upon the petitioner document for an extent of 9152 sq.ft., of land comprised in survey No.291/3 part survey Nos.291/30, 31 and 32 situated at Kodungaiyur Village formerly at Fort Tondiarpet Taluk, now at Perambur Taluk, within a time frame.

On perusal of records, it is seen that the Writ Petition was filed on 08.08.2014 and came up for admission on 14.08.2014. Thereafter on 11.08.2018, at the request of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the case was adjourned for a week. For the past seven years, the case was pending without even admitting the same. Today also, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner is not ready and sought time for arguing the case. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to entertain this Writ petition, after the period of seven years.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
