Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant notional promotion to the petitioner in all stages on par with junior R.Natarajan up to the post of Assistant Director of Town Panchayat with consequential and other attendant benefits including arrears of salary as well as the revision of retirement benefits based on such notional promotion to the higher post on par with junior by considering the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 24.06.2014, within a time frame to be fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

O R D E R

The petitioner submitted a representation on 24.06.2014, requesting the first respondent to grant him notional promotion by revising the seniority list. Since there was no follow up action taken by the first respondent, the petitioner is before this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents.

3. The first respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 24.6.2014 on merits and as per law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
