ORDER

The civil revision petitioner seeks for expeditious disposal of the O.P.No.5051 of 2021 on the file of the I Additional Principal Judge, Family Court at Chennai.

2. The wife has initiated the divorce proceedings, invoking the provisions of Section 13(1)(i-a) of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1956. She alleges that the husband had left her and her children even without

caring for their basic needs. There is no dispute that the petitioner and the respondent entered into matrimony on 25.03.2015. From and out of the wedlock, two children were born on 15.12.2015 and 05.03.2019.

3. I am not going into the allegations that have been made by the wife, because they are not necessary for the disposal of the civil revision petition.

4. A perusal of the e-Courts proceedings produced before this Court by Ms.Daisy would show that from 07.03.2023, the Interlocutory Applications are pending. Ms.Daisy would submit that these are the applications filed for interim visitation by the husband to see the two children. She states that counter has been filed and it has been adjourned regularly without any disposal.

5. When Interlocutory Applications are pending, it might not be appropriate to give directions to the disposal of the main divorce petition. Therefore, taking the overall circumstances into consideration, I am inclined to direct the I Additional Principal Judge,

Family Court at Chennai to dispose of I.A.Nos.5 and 6 of 2023 within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. After disposal of the Interlocutory Applications, if the pleadings are complete, the learned Judge is expected to dispose of the main proceedings as expeditiously as possible.

6. The civil revision petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
