PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to call for the records and to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.4170/2013 pending on the file of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai for offences under Sections 498(A), 323, 406, 506(i) IPC and Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act as against the first petitioner and for offences under Sections 323 and 506(i) IPC as against the second petitioner. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would contend that the petitioners on an earlier occasion filed a Crl.O.P.No.5535/2015 before this Court for quashing the proceedings in C.C.No.4170/2013 on the file of the learned Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai and the said petition https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

was allowed by this Court on 17.03.2015. It is the further contention that during the pendency of Crl.O.P.No.5535/2015, the present Criminal Original Petition has been filed and that nothing survives for further adjudication in this matter.

3. In the facts and circumstances of the present case, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are also closed.
