PRAYER: Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code praying to extend the time for execution of sureties in Crl.O.P.No.11661 of 2020 in Crime No.1993of 2020 on the file of the respondent police by order dated 05.08.2020.

ORDER

(The case has been heard through video conference) This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition has been filed to extend the time for execution of sureties in Crl.O.P.No.11661 of 2020 in Crime No.1993 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police by order dated 05.08.2020.

2. This Court has passed an order in Crl.O.P.No.11661 of 2020 on 05.08.2020, directed the petitioner to surrender before the concerned Court within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order. But the petitioner has not surrendered within the time stipulated by this Court, thereby, the earlier order got lapsed by efflux of time. Extension of time cannot be granted to an order which has already lapsed by efflux of time.
