PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to permit the petitioner to enroll as an Advocate on the roll of the 2nd respondent based on the application of the petitioner dated 30.10.2024 bearing No.PR/2024/35857.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by G.R.Swaminathan, J.) Heard both sides.
2. The petitioner had completed his legal education in Government Law College, Tirunelveli. He has also been awarded BA LLB degree. However, he could not get enrolled because of his involvement in a criminal case.
3. Considering the special facts and circumstances set out in the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition, we direct the learned II Additional District and Sessions Judge (PCR), Tirunelveli to dispose of S.C.No.66 of 2019 pending on its file on merits and in accordance with law within a period of five months. If the petitioner is acquitted in the criminal case, respondent No.2 will process the petitioner's application for enrollment as expeditiously as possible, of course subject to the verification of other particulars.
4. The Registry to mark a copy of this order to II Additional District and Sessions Judge (PCR), Tirunelveli.
5. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
