The petitioner is a lawyer who has also been licenced to practice as Notary Public with effect from 07.08.2019. He sought for renewal of the said licence on the expiry of five years on 09.02.2024. The said application was returned pointing out defects on 08.03.2024. The petitioner resubmitted the application on 18.03.2024. The third respondent had called upon the petitioner to submit the original of the certificate granted by proceedings dated 22.07.2024. The petitioner states that he has complied with the said requirement and as the licence has still not been renewed, he sent a reminder on 10.03.2025. As there is no positive response, he has come forward with the present writ petition.

2.Heard Mr.M.Saravanakumar for the petitioner and Mr.M.Sathyan, Central Government Standing Counsel for the respondents. 2/4

3.Learned Central Government Standing Counsel states that the application will be processed and an appropriate orders will be passed within four weeks. This statement is recorded.

4.There shall be a direction to the third respondent to pass appropriate orders within a period of four weeks from today. 5.The writ petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
