ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed directing the respondent Police to file the final report in Crime No.628 of 2009 pending investigation on the file of Inspector of Police, Central Crime Branch, Anti Land Grabbing Special Cell, Tambaram Commissionerate within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondent.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that though the respondent has registered a case in the above said crime number on 01.07.2009, no Final Report is filed till date.
4. Earlier, the investigation was completed and further action was dropped. The same was interfered by this Court by passing an order in Crl.O.P.No.14060 of 2023, dated 23.06.2023. This Court directed the Inspector of Police, S11 - Tambaram Police Station, to conduct proper investigation and file the Final Report. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submitted that pursuant to the direction issued by 3/6
this Court, investigation was completed and it is almost at the verge of completion and that the Final Report will be filed within a period of four weeks.
5. In view of the above, the respondent Police is directed to either file a Final Report or Closure Report, as the case may be, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order under due intimation to the de-facto complainant.
6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed off.
