..Respondents Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 to 4 to consider the representation/complaint dated 10.06.2018 sent by the petitioner and take necessary action against the 5th respondent.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 4 to consider the representation/complaint dated 10.06.2018 sent by the petitioner and take necessary action against the 5th respondent.

2. Today, Mrs.Ruthra Sudha.S, Sub-Inspector of Police, F2 Police Station, Egmore, Chennai, is present before this Court.

3. On instructions, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that the hoardings erected on the road near Ethiraj College signal have been removed.

4. However, Traffic Dr.K.R.Ramaswamy contended that they were not removed immediately and only after he had protested, the police intervened. He further contended that the police are turning a blind eye to such gross violation of law and are permitting the political parties and other organizations to put up such hoardings causing obstruction to free flow of traffic.

5. In this regard, the petitioner has given a representation on 10.06.2018. In ordinary circumstances, this Court would not direct the authorities to consider the said representation. However, this Court cannot lose sight of the fact that Traffic Dr.K.R.Ramaswamy has been single handedly fighting this menace for the last one decade. Hence, this Court directs the second respondent police to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 10.06.2018 and take action in accordance with law.

With the above direction, this petition is closed. No costs.
