PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to instruct Tamilnadu all District Collectors and all Chief Educational Officers and other concerned authorities to install C.C.T.V. Cameras in Class Rooms and within Campus of Government Elementary, Higher Secondary and High Schools and Private Higher Secondary, High Schools monitored by the Head of the Institutions so as to supervise the activities of students and teachers in the Class Rooms, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 08.12.2004.

(Made by The Hon'ble The Chief Justice) The question, whether CCTV Cameras should be installed in school campuses, is the issue sought to be raised by the petitioner, arising from allegations about the sexual abuse and harassment of girl students. A representation is stated to have been made on 08.12.2014.

2. The second respondent will take a decision on the representation, keeping in mind the administrative exigencies, within a maximum period of two months from the receipt of the order and communicate the decision to the petitioner.
