This case is taken up for settlement before the National Lok Adalat. Both the parties are present. Mr.C.R.Suresh Kumar, learned counsel for appellant and Mr.K.T.S.Sivakumar, learned counsel for the respondent is present. After mutual discussion, negotiation, mediation and conciliation 1/5
between both parties, they arrived at a compromise to settle the matter as follows:
TERMS OF SETTLEMENT Both the parties as well as their respective counsel were present. 2.The respondent Ajith claimed a sum of Rs.70,00,000/- (Rupees Seventy Lakhs Only) with interest and cost as compensation before the Tribunal.
3.The Tribunal passed an award directing the appellant herein to pay a sum of Rs.17,05,116/- (Rupees Seventeen Lakhs Five Thousand One Hundred and Sixteen Only) with interest and cots. 4.Both the parties having initiated negotiations successfully arrived at a settlement of all the issues arising in this case. 5.The appellant has agreed to pay a sum of Rs.20,00,000/- (Rupees Twenty Lakhs Only) in full quit less Rs.8,52,558/- which was already deposited and the respondent has also agreed to receive the said amount in full quit as compensation.
6.As a result, an award is passed hereby directing the appellant to pay a sum of Rs.20,00,000/- (Rupees Twenty Lakhs Only) in full quit less Rs.8,52,558/- already deposited within a period of thee months from the date of this order. On such deposit, the respondent is permitted to withdraw the settled amount.
7.Consequently, this Civil Miscellaneous Appeal stands closed. The Miscellaneous Petition is closed, if any.

8.The Court fee if paid by the appellant be refunded in terms of Section 21(1) of the Legal Services Authorities Act 1987 in manner provided under the Court fees Act 1870.
