Heard Mr.K.Govindaraj, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.V.Jayaprakash Narayanan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent and with their consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for disposal at the admission stage.

2. The petitioner seeks for issuance of legal Heir Certificate of her husband late P.Vijayakumar. The petitioner appears to be the second wife of late P.Vijayakumar. The petitioner would state that his first wife predeceased her husband about 7 years back and the child born to his first wife is also in the custody of the petitioner along with her children. In this regard, a representation has been given on 08.10.2014 to the respondent and the same is pending.

3. In the light of the above, without going into the merits of the petitioner's contentions, there will be a direction to the respondent to conduct enquiry on the petitioner's application for grant of legal Heir Certificiate and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
