O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to select and recommend the petitioner for the post of Constable (GD) in CAPFs or Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles pursuant to the Recruitment Notification dated 15.12.2012 issued by the second respondent for 2013 year recruitment.

2.The case of the petitioner is that the second respondent had issued Notification dated 15.12.2012 for recruitment to the posts of Constable (GD) in ITBPF, BSF, CRPF and SSB and Rifleman https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

(GD) in Assam Rifles, 2013 and the petitioner had participated in the said recruitment. However, the petitioner was not recruited. Hence, this writ petition.

3.Heard the arguments advanced on either side and perused the materials available on record.

4.Counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of the respondents, wherein, it is stated that the petitioner had secured only 33 marks in the written examination and as such, the petitioner has not qualified for any of the posts opted for by him for the State of Tamil Nadu under OBC category, in the said recruitment. It is further stated that the marks secured by the petitioner are far below the cut-off marks fixed by the Commission.

5.In view of the above, this Court is not inclined to grant the relief sought for in this writ petition. The writ petition is accordingly dismissed. No costs.
