O R D E R

The Writ Petition has been filed for directing the respondents to disburse the differential gratuity amount of Rs.55,130/- along with interest.

2. The petitioner was working as Driver (Special Grade) in the second respondent and he was attained age of superannuation on 30.06.2019. While calculating the retirement benefits, the petitioner's gratuity amount was arrived at Rs.8,10,535/-. However, he was paid only a sum of Rs.7,55,405/-. Hence, the petitioner is entitled for the differential amount, which is payable by the respondents to the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner submitted representations before the respondents and the same were not considered so far.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances of this case, this Court directs the respondents to disburse the differential gratuity amount of 2/4

Rs.55,130/- along with interest at the rate of 6% per annum within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
