The appellant seeks condonation of delay of 1050 days in filing the appeal. The reason adduced for the delay is that lock down imposed due to Covid. It is seen that the judgment of the Trial Court was delivered on 31.01.2020 and copy application itself was made only on 07.02.2023. Therefore, there is no justification for the total period of delay, since there was a delay in filing the copy application itself. 2.Considering the fact that the appeal arises in a land acquisition case, we condone the delay, on condition, the petitioner pays a sum of Rs.5,000/- to the respondent within a period of six weeks from today. Failing which, the Civil Miscellaneous Petition will stand dismissed. On production of proof of payment of costs, the Regsitry shall number the appeal. (R.S.M., J.)
