Ms.Sindhuza, learned counsel on behalf of Mr.L.Jai Venkatesh, learned Standing Counsel accepts notice for the respondents and is armed with instructions to enable a final disposal of this Writ Petition, even at the stage of admission.

2. The petitioner, a senior citizen, seeks a mandamus directing R1, the Assistant Executive Engineer, TNEB, to grant 3 phase electricity connection both residential and commercial to the property at No.1B, 2nd street, Bakthavachalam Nagar, Nanganallur, Chennai - 600 061 at her own cost.

3.Ms.Sindhuza, on instructions, would state that no application has been filed thus far. She also states that the property tax receipts that have accompanied the representation of the petitioner stand in the name of the petitioner's daughter and not the petitioner.

4. Hence, it is appropriate that the correct person should make an application seeking grant of 3 phase electricity connection accompanied by necessary documents. As and when such an application is made, let the same be disposed expeditiously, in accordance with law and all extant Rules and Regulations.

5. With this, nothing further survives in this Writ Petition, and the 2/4

same is closed. No costs.
