The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the 3rd respondent to consider his representation dated 16.05.2024 and issue of patta in his name in respect of his ancestral property in Inam TD.No.199/1863 comprised in Kasa.No.178, 158, 159, 161/1, 3, 154 measuring total extent of 22 acres and 38 cents situated in Ganapathy Village, North Zone Corporation,

2. It is the case of the petitioner that the above said property was given to his ancestors in their capacity as Priest of Attanur Amman Kovil. 2/6

However, the revenue documents were registered in the name of various persons by mistake. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation to the respondents on 16.05.2024 seeking change of patta in his name. The said representation has not been considered by the respondents till date. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader, who is taking notice for the respondents, on written instructions, would submit that the petitioner has not given any details to show that he is the descendent of one Palaniappa Pandaram in whose favour land was allegedly given by the British Government. The learned Additional Government Pleader also submitted that on field inspection, it was found that several alienations and sub-divisions had taken place in the subject lands in the name of several persons for the past 120 years.

4. In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents in expressing difficulty in considering the request of the petitioner, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to direct the 3rd 3/6

respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.05.2024 and pass final orders on its own merit and in accordance with law and communicate the same to the petitioner, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
