O R D E R

The petitioners who were arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 25.03.2025 for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c) r/w 20(b) (ii)(A), 29(1) of NDPS Act, 1985 in Crime No.27 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police, seek bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioners are residents of the State of Odisha. They transported 62 kgs of ganja for commercial purposes and sold it in Tamil Nadu. On 24.03.2025 at about 20.00 hours, the petitioners 2/4

were apprehended near Coimbatore Railway Station. The investigation is almost completed and the final report is likely to be filed. Since the petitioners are hailing from outside the State and no roots in Tamil Nadu and further, as the contraband seized from them is of commercial quantity, this Criminal Original Petition for bail is dismissed under the embargo contained in Section 37 of NDPS Act.
