Government Pleader COMMON ORDER (Order of the court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.G.R.Deepak, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader, assisted by Mr.K.M.D.Muhilan, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the

petitioners were allotted land measuring 80 sq. meters each for construction of residential houses.

However, there was encroachment on the said land. Even the information given by the respondent authorities under Right to Information Act, 2005 demonstrates that there is an encroachment. However, no action is taken by the Government to remove the encroachment.

3. The petitioners have given representation for removal of the encroachment. The respondent authorities shall take a decision on the representation of the petitioners, on its own merits and in accordance with law, and thereafter proceed further as may be required expeditiously, preferably within four months.

4. With these observations, the writ petitions are disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
