ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.S.RAMESH,J.) The petitioner's husband, Nazeer, Convict Prisoner, who has been diagnosed with cancer, seeks for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus for his treatment at the Cancer Institute (WIA), Adayar, Chennai.

2. Today, when the Writ Petition was called, the learned Additional Public Prosecution for the respondent, on instructions, submitted that the claim that the petitioner's husband was diagnosed with cancer is true and that the jail authorities have been regularly taking the petitioner's husband to the Cancer Institute (WIA), Adayar, Chennai, as and when advised by the concerned doctors. As such, the grievance of the petitioner/wife of the Convict Prisoner has been redressed and hence, no further orders are required.

3. We would like to add that in case the doctors advise that the petitioner's husband should be taken as an inpatient, the same shall be complied with by the jail authorities.
