Prayer : Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner for grant and issuance of Sabbatical Leave so as to enable and entitle the 11 students (10 Ph.D. Research Scholars and 01 MS Research Scholar) under his supervision to continue and complete their Ph.D. Degree.

The petitioner seeks for issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the claim of the petitioner for grant and issue sabbatical leave to the petitioner.
2. Today, when the matter was called, the learned Standing Counsel for the second respondent submitted that, they are https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
willing to give the necessary certificates, which includes the relieving order, service certificate and salary certificate, provided the petitioner gives leave application claiming leave for the period between 01.05.2020 to 22.02.2021. Learned counsel for the petitioner ratifies that the petitioner is willing to give the required leave letter.
3. In view of the submissions made by both the learned counsel for the petitioner and the respondents 2 and 3, the petitioner is granted liberty to provide the second respondent herein with a requisition for grant of relieving order, service certificate and salary certificate upto 23.02.2021 together with a leave application seeking leave between 01.05.2020 to 22.02.2021. On receipt of such a representation along with the leave application, the second respondent shall issue the necessary service certificate, salary certificate and relieving order upto 23.02.2021. The earlier service certificate and relieving order issued to the petitioner shall be returned to the second respondent herein. The second respondent shall endeavour to issue the necessary certificates on the same day when the petitioner makes the requisition.
4. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
