The Writ Petition has been filed for directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.10.2023 regarding grant of retrospective up-gradation as Special Sub Inspector of Police with effect from 01.07.2018, within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

2. Considering the limited relief sought for in the petition, without expressing any opinion on merits of the writ petition, the respondent is directed to consider the representation dated 30.10.2023 made by the petitioner after issuance of notice to the petitioner and counter parties, if any and after giving opportunity of hearing to them, pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
