The petitioners, who were arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 07.06.2024 in Crime No.126 of 2024 registered for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(a) r/w 4(1-A) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, seek bail.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners are innocent persons and they have been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that they are no way connected with the alleged offence. He is ready to abide by any stringent conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prayed for grant of bail to the petitioners.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that respondent police found the petitioners in illegal possession of 24 litres 300 ml of Karnataka liquor. Petitioner has no previous case against him. He further submitted that the investigation is not yet completed, therefore, he vehemently opposed to grant bail to the petitioners.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondent and perused the entire materials available on record.

5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) and also considering the huge quantity of Karnataka made liquor, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners.
