ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to treat the date of registration of the petitioner in the Employment Exchange as 04.11.1991 vide Registration No.VLD1991M00033332, instead of 12.12.2012 vide Registration No.VLD2012M00040352 by carrying out necessary corrections in the records of the respondent, so as to sponsor the name of the petitioner to the requisitioning authorities for appointment in any suitable post, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2.According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner registered his name with qualification as 10th failed in the District Employment Office, Vellore District on 04.11.1991 vide Registration No.VLD1991M00033332, which was renewed periodically. During the year 2012, several persons, who were registered along with the petitioner, got interview/call letters from several Departments, since their names were duly sponsored by the respondent Employment Exchange, but the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petitioner did not receive any such communication. When he enquired with the respondent, he came to know that his educational qualification was wrongly mentioned as if he completed 'Higher Secondary Course' instead of '10th Standard failed'. Immediately, he requested the respondent to rectify the said mistake, which was accordingly, corrected, however, his date of registration was noted as 12.12.2012 and not as 04.11.1991. Therefore, he made representation dated 12.04.2014 to the respondent, requesting to correct the date of registration. Finding no response on the said representation, the present writ petition came to be filed. 3.On the other hand, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent fairly submitted that the respondent would consider the representation of the petitioner if it is pending, and pass appropriate orders, on merits, within a stipulated time to be fixed by this Court.

4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court directs the respondent to dispose of the representation dated 12.04.2014 submitted by the petitioner, if not already disposed of, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
