The petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in Crime No.180 of 2023 registered by the respondent Police for the offence under Section 23(3) of POCSO Act.

2.It is stated that the petitioner is already an accused in Crime No.2 of 2023, in which, the final report had been taken cognizance by the Magalir Neethimandram, Fast Track Mahila Court, Udhagamandalam in Spl.C.C.No.37 of 2022. The trial is on going. The petitioner also filed an application to quash the charge sheet in Crl.O.P.No.16521 of 2022 before this Court, which is pending.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner herein had given an information to the media that the entire case against the petitioner is false.

4. The learned counsel states that it was an Advocate, who stated so, not the petitioner.

5. However, on the side of the respondent, it is stated that the petitioner and other accused have threatened the defacto complainant. These are issues which can be examined only when the petitioner appears and is secured by the respondent.
