The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to direct the respondents 2 and 3 to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 24.06.2012, 25.09.2012 and the legal notice dated 12.12.2012 in accordance with law.
2.The learned counsel for the petitioner states that the representations submitted in respect of rectification of patta is sought to be considered through his representations.
3. The learned Additional Government pleader appearing on behalf of the respondent states that the enquiry proceeding has already been commenced on 27.11.2009 and passing of the final order is pending before the District Revenue Officer, who is the competent authority to issue final order in this regard.
4. However, without going into the merits of the matter, the District Revenue Officer, Nagapattinam is directed to consider the representations submitted by the writ petitioner on 24.06.2012 and 25.09.2012 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law within a period of 12 weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petitioner is directed to enclose a copy of the representations along with the order passed in this writ petition.
4. Hence, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. However, no order as to costs. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
