O R D E R

The petitioner earlier worked as NMR worker in Ambattur Municipality. The Municipality was merged with Corporation. The petitioner was not engaged after the merger of the local body. The petitioner having found that there are vacancies in the post of NMR workers, submitted a representation on 8.09.2014, requesting the second respondent to engage her continuously taking into account her earlier engagement. The present request is to direct the second respondent to consider the said representation on merits.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for Chennai Corporation. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. The second respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 28.09.2014 on merits and as per law, taking into account the earlier engagement of the petitioner. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
