ORDER

The petitioner has filed this writ petition for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.02.2015 received by him on 08.02.2015 and pass orders permitting vehicle No. TN 28 P 4092 to transport diesel from Karur Terminal to various places in Tamil Nadu.

The petitioner would submit that on 27-06-2014, one of their oil tanker bearing No.TN 28 P 4092 was stolen along with 20000 litres of diesel and subsequently, the accused were arrested and the vehicle was recovered and now, the vehicle is standing idle with the respondent-Corporation and the petitioner now requested permission for utilising the petitioner's vehicle for transporting diesel.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the representation given by the petitioner may be considered on merits and in accordance with law.

Though there is a request made on behalf of Mr.O.R. Santhana Krishnan, learned counsel for the respondent, for filing a counter this Court is of the view that since the representation is pending, it is well open to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
