ORDER

With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. This Writ Petition is filed to direct the first respondent to sub-divide the said land by measuring the land to issue patta in the name of the petitioner after demarcating the property being all that piece and parcel of land comprised in Survey No.66/8B situated at Kotteripattu Village, Tindivanam Taluk, Villupuram District.

3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

4. The case of the petitioners is that the subject property belongs to the mother of the petitioners and their mother settled the property in favour of the petitioners and patta also stands jointly in the name of the petitioners. The grievance of the petitioners is that though they had given an online application for subdivision of their property and patta transfer by paying necessary fees, the 2/4

same has not been considered by the first respondent till date. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

5. Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, the first respondent is directed to consider the online application of the petitioners dated 23.03.2024 and pass appropriate orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
