O R D E R

This Contempt Petition is filed alleging violation of the order dated 24.08.2011 passed in W.P.No.14744 of 2010, whereby this Court, while quashing the impugned order therein, directed the respondents to settle the death-cum-retirement benefits of the petitioner within a period of eight weeks

from the date of receipt of copy of the said order.

2. In response to the notice issued by this Court, the learned counsel for the respondents placed before this Court various proceedings dated 27.03.2012, 11.06.2012 and 08.11.2012, under which the benefits, as directed by this Court are shown to have been disbursed in favour of the petitioner.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, submitted that the amounts covered by the said proceedings were received by the petitioner, but the said amounts are not paid in full and that the petitioner will be entitled for some more amounts and because of the wrong calculations made by the respondents, lesser amounts were paid to the petitioner and seeks liberty to take appropriate steps for the balance amount.

4. In the circumstances, the Contempt Petition is closed granting liberty to the petitioner to agitate for the rest of the amount, if any, due and payable to the petitioner in accordance with law. No costs. 13.09.2024 skr
