Respondents Prayer: Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to take immediate action based upon the representation of the petitioner dated 10.04.2019.

ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) This writ petition is a complete abuse of process. There is no doubt that the petitioner has some angst against the private respondent and wishes to rid the private respondent of his business. The complaint pertains to the private respondent carrying on a perceived illegal business of manufacturing firecrackers.

2. There is no doubt that there are authorities which keep a look out for persons indulging in the illegal manufacture of fire-crackers. The Court, in exercise of this extraordinary jurisdiction, cannot go into individual complaints against individual persons, brought by persons who may have an axe to grind or a personal grudge.

3. W.P.No.16865 of 2020 is dismissed and the petitioner is left free to bring the matters complained of to the notice of the appropriate authorities in accordance with law. There will be no order as to costs. As a consequence, WMP No.20921 of 2020 is closed.
