ORDER
(This case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(a), 4(1-A) of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, in Crime No.1049 of 2020, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.
The case of the prosecution as per the defacto complainant is that the petitioner was in illegal possession of 10 litres of ID arrack. Hence, the complaint. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He would further submit that he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of 10 litres of illicit arrack. He would further submit that there are two previous cases pending as against the petitioner. Hence, he opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also the fact that there are two previous cases as pending against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
