O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondent herein to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 11.12.2017 given for regularization of service as Work Inspector Grade-2 on completion of 10 years of service in the light of the Judgment of this Court in W.P.No.13275 of 2011 dated 22.06.2011 and W.P.Nos.29346 of 2014 etc., batch of cases dated 22.09.2017, within a stipulated time.
2. Mr.V.Kadhirvelu, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent.
3. By consent of both sides,this Writ Petition is taken up and disposed of at the time of admission itself.
4. The grievance of the petitioner is that though the petitioner has been continuously working with the respondent for more than 17 years and this Court in W.P.No.13275 of 2011 dated 22.06.2011 and W.P.Nos.29346 of 2014 etc., batch dated 22.09.2017, have directed regularisation of services after completion of 10 years of service of similarly situated employees and in this regard he has made a representation to the respondent 11.12.2017, seeking regularisation, till, no orders having been passed on the said representation, the petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition seeking for the aforesaid relief. In such premises, it is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the respondent be directed to pass order on his such representation.
5. The learned Special Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents submits that the respondent has no objection to consider and pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 11.12.2017, within stipulated period as fixed by this Court, but in accordance with law.
6. In view of the nature of relief sought for by the petitioner and the submissions made, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served in seeking counter affidavit from the respondents
7. Hence, regard being had to the facts and also the submissions made, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to take an informed and considered decision on the representation of the petitioner dated 11.12.2017, taking note of the Judgment of this Court rendered in W.P.No.13275 of 2011 dated 22.06.2011 and W.P.Nos.29346 of 2014 etc., batch dated 22.09.2017, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner. However, it is made clear that this Court has expressed no opinion on the merits of the representation. No costs.
